Pamani is situated at a distance of 2 KMs from Mannarkudi. The presiding deity is Lord Shiva called Naganathar with his consort Amirthanayaki.

This temple is 104th Temple among the 276 Padal Petra Sthalam praised in Thevara Hymns.

Lord Shiva is Swayambu moorthy believed to be made of molehill and installed by Adhiseshan.
Guru Bhagawan is sitting on 04 Lions and hence called simha Dakshinamoorthy.
Adhiseshan is having separate shrine and in the form of face of man and body of a snake.
Parihara thalam for Ragu Kethu Dosham, Naga Dosham and Kala Sarpa dosham
