Thiruvenkadu Temple History :

Thiruvenkadu is a small village located 23 kms away form Mayiladithurai town in the state of Tamilnadu.

This is one of the nine Navagraha temples specifically meant for Budha Baghavan. The presiding deity is Lord.Shiva, who is worshiped here as “ Swetharanyeshwarar” and Goddess Parvati,his consort, is depicted as Brahmavidyanayaki Amman. This temple is considered as one of the shrines of the 275 Padal Petra Sthalams of Lord Siva.One can find it glorified in the early mythological Tevaram poems written and sung by Appar, Thirugnana Sambandar ,Thirunavukkarasar of the famed 63 nayanmars.

This temple is built on in the lines of Dravidian Style of Architecture.

As per the legend, this temple is believed to have been 2000 years old. It is a world famous temple for removing all Budha (Mercury) related dhoshas.

Significance of Thiruvenkadu Temple :

All problems related to Budha Grahal doshas will be neutralized and nullified
The presiding deity “Swetharanyeshwarar has got five faces here viz Easanam, Tatpurusham, Aghoram, Vamadevam and Sathyojatam.
Lord Aghora Moorthi (Veerabathrar) a ferocious form of Lord Siva, who is a very very powerful God of this temple has got a separate shrine.
This temple is considered equivalent to Kasi (Varanasi)
Rudra Padam (Feet of Lord Siva) at this place is very special place for performing Ancestor Rituals.This is the only place, where one can perform Tharpanam with 21 Pindams. This place is also known as Rudra Gaya.

The puja will be performed on the scheduled date either in the morning or in the evening as per the head priest's sole discretion based on other festivals and programs conducted in the temple.
Puja confirmation mail will be sent on the next day of the puja date. It's an automated mail, which will be manually intervened, only when there is a change in the puja schedule.
We will arrange to perform the puja either through our representatives/agents who will visit the temple in person or through the Priest of the temple himself depending upon our earlier set arrangements
