The temple in Thirukollikadu situated at a distance of about 28 Kms from Thiruvarur near Kachanam. Presiding Deity of Shiva called Agneeswarar with his consort Mrudupada Nayaki.

Significance of Thirukollikadu - Sri Agneeswara swamy :

Lord Shiva is Swayambu Lingam
The Navagrahas will not face each other generally, But in this temple Navagrahas are installed on three sides of a square facing each other
Lord Subramanya is having Bow in his hand which is unique to this temple
Sani Bhagwan is having a Plough in his hand and thus signifies the importance of Labour
As Sani Bhagawan is in Kubera Corner near to Mahalakshmi sannithi, he give all wealth to devotees.
King Nala worshipped here after sani dosha and got back his country and all wealths.
As Agni Bhagwan worshipped Shiva in this temple for sapa vimochana the lingam is somewhat red in colour.
