The temple in Govindavadi situated at a distance of about 18Kms from Kancheepuram.

Presiding Deity is Dakshinamoorthy in separate shrine. Lord Shiva as with his consort Akilandeshwari is also there.

Exclusive temple for Lord Dhakshinamoorthy as presiding deity unlike other temples where is will be there in south praharam.
Annabishekam in this temple is performed to Lord Dhakshinamoorthy.
Lord Shiva as Kailasanathar is also present in separate Garbhagraham under same Vimanam (Tower), which is the speciality of this temple.
It is believed Lord Vishnu worshipped Dakshinamoorthy here as his Guru.
Normally Kavadi associatedwith lord Muruga. But here Viboothi Kavadi worship is done to Dhakshinamoorthy.
The holy ash (Viboothi) is offered as abishekam to Guru and given as prasadam.
The Nanam for Perumal deity here is done with Chandan and kumkum instead of thriumann.
The Viayakar is having Avudayaar (base of sivalingam)and called avudai vinayakar.

The puja will be performed on the scheduled date either in the morning or in the evening as per the head priest's sole discretion based on other festivals and programs conducted in the temple.
Puja confirmation mail will be sent on the next day of the puja date. It's an automated mail, which will be manually intervened, only when there is a change in the puja schedule.
