Oottathur Temple History :

This temple is located 30 kms away from the Trichy City, off the Trichy –Chennai National Highways near Paadalur town. Another name for this temple is “ Suddha Rathneswarar Temple”. The presiding deity Lord.Siva is depicted as “Suddha Rathneswarar “ and his consort goddess Parvathi is depicted as “ Akilandeswari Amman”. The Lord here is known as Doctor Deity, the Nephrologist Lord. Lord.Brahma created the Brahma Theertham,after filling water from all the holy rivers of the universe in it and did Abishekam and Pujas to Lord.Siva to get rid of a curse.

As per the legend, this temple was built in the 7th century. The present temple which has been in existence for over 1000 years has been renovated and rebuilt by Raja Raja Cholan, the most famous and the greatest Chola King who had built so many other Siva temples during his life time including the Big Temple in Tanjore.

About the Lord Natarajar in this Temple :

Lord. Nataraja, the cosmic dancer, whose statue made of Panchaloha (5 Metals) can be seen in most of the temples along with his consort Goddess. Sivakama Sundari. However, in this temple his statue is made of “Panchanadhanam” a special type of black Granite Stone,which can absorb the Sun’s rays and emit radiation. Lord Nataraja is very very special in this temple and cures all kidney related ailments.

Significance of Oottathur Temple :

  • The name of the presiding Deity Suddha Rathneswarar signifies” Lord of Pure Gem”.The deity is made of PureRuby Stone and can be seen gleaming during the Aarthi (Deeparathana) time.
  • This temple is considered one of the shrines of the 275 Padal Petra Sthalams of Lord Siva. One can find it glorified in the early mythological Tevaram poems written and sung by many of the famed 63 nayanmars.
  • This temple is very very ancient and is probably the only temple for curing Kidney related ailments In the world.

Rescheduling and Cancellation Policy

To avoid cancellation charges, please reschedule or cancel the order 72 hours before the scheduled time. For details see cancellation policy.

Cancellation Policy:
  • Your service request may be rescheduled or cancelled online through Divinvite platform (web/app)
  • The cancellation charges are mentioned hereinafter :

    • = 72 hrs -; Zero cancellation charges. 100% refund excluding convenience charges paid, if any.

    Between 72 hrs &; 48 hrs; - 25% cancellation charges &; convenience charges paid, if any.

    Between 48 hrs &; 24 hrs; - 50% cancellation charges ;&; convenience charges paid, if any.

    <=24 hrs;; - NO REFUND

  • If the order booked falls within the time frame of the above policy and cancelled afterwards by the customer, the cancellation charges will be applicable as per the above slot anyway.
  • The rescheduling ( one time) of a service is possible within the available service categories pertaining to that city; and or date; for one time only.You can change the date of the booked service prior to 72 hours and or change it from one service (booked service) to another service.
  • For rituals like Amavasya Tharpanam and all Punniyakala Tharpanams like ( Chithrai vishu, Aadi Amavasaya,Thai Amavasya,Thula vishu); NO REFUND WILL BE MADE IRRESPECTIVE OF THE TIME OF CANCELLATION).;
  • If the service professional is running late by over 60 minutes and ;the customer wants to cancel the order, then the cancellation charges will NOT be applicable
  • Due to any unforeseen circumstances or internal reasons, Divinvite reserves the right to cancel any order at any point of time and Divinvite will not be liable to anyone for the same.
  • If the visit is cancelled by the service professional or Divinvite then customer is NOT liable to pay cancellation charges.
